Ben Franklin High School PD
|
Masonville Cove assisted Ben Franklin High School with their professional development part of the green school application. Two educators went to the school and introduced the teachers to the "Eyes on the Bay" website. Teachers were shown how the data could be used not only by computer science teachers and science teacher, but the language art teachers too.

A Greener Baltimore PD
Teachers from Baltimore City visited Masonville Cove this summer on July 26th and August 2nd to participate in integrating science curriculum into the classroom. This two day PD also allowed teachers to earn AU credits for attending. On the first day, teachers learned about Project Wild curriculum and how to use the book. On the second day, they had to demonstrate some of the lessons from the book and had to align the lesson to the new curriculum standards. They were later given the information about how the standards aligned to all the lessons.
